2. Do you have to plug them in?Yes and no! Hybrid models you don't have to plug in because they use the combination electric and gas motor. However, The plug in models, plug into any outlet in your garage, or stop down to Steet Toyota of Yorkville at 4991 Commercial Drive, Yorkville, NY 13495 to plug into our recharging system.
3. How long do the batteries last?
The drive battery is designed to last the life of the vehicle!
4. Do they require additional maintenance?
Not at all! They follow the same maintenance schedule as non hybrid models. Their design can help them deliver less wear and tear and fewer replacement parts.
5. How long is the charge time?
Prius Prime's battery can be charged in less than 5 hours and 30 minutes by plugging the included charging cable into a standard household outlet. When using a public charging station (240V), the Prius Prime can be fully charged in approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes.
6. How far can you drive on a full battery?
The two models that require a charge are the Prius Prime and Rav4 Prime.
- Prius Prime: 25 miles on battery only, EPA estimated combined electric and gas is 133 miles.
- Rav4 Prime: RAV4 Prime has an impressive EPA-estimated EV Mode range rating of 42 miles if only recharging once. 89 Actual range will vary depending on a number of factors, including refueling practices, vehicle conditions and how/where you drive your car.
