The Steet Ponte Auto Group 4th Annual Ski Trip to Gore Mountain was held on Sunday, March 5th! We got extremely lucky this year as it looks like winter has finally hit us this March as it’s coming in like a lion here in Upstate New York! The conditions were beautiful after having received a late snowstorm that delivered 16 inches of fresh powder for us to enjoy, and lots of smiles by all. This year was a record breaker again with over 35 people in attendance!
We’d like to extend a huge congratulations to our Sales Manager, Brian Mathias, on his recent graduation from the National Auto Dealers Association Dealer Academy! The Dealer Academy is a rigorous, year-long course for employees within a car dealership. The employee must apply to the program, and be sponsored by the dealer principal to be accepted. This is the 44th year the program has graduated a program, and the 473rd class that has graduated! The academy headquarters is located in Tysons Corner, VA, but since the pandemic, the course is now offered online as well.
We had our 10th Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest in the Steet Ponte Auto Group during our holiday lunch parties!! This year, we had winners from each store. Here at Steet Toyota of Yorkville, we had a delicious meal catered by Ventura’s Restaurant in Utica, NY. This year, our very own Jen Screeder from our Office won for Joe Steet Sr.’s Favorite category in the contest! We had a great time and are looking forward to another great year!
It’s our TENTH Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive going on now at all of the stores in the Steet Ponte Auto Group! Each year, we donate our food donations to different local organizations and food pantries. This year, our food donations are going to the Compassion Coalition in Utica, NY.. Their mission is to continue to be a vital resource by nourishing our community in body, mind and spirit.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, November 1st and 2nd our 5th Annual Coats for Kids Coat Drive came to an end after a month long drive! We donated all of our winter coats, snow pants, hats, gloves and scarf donations to the Utica, Rome, Herkimer, CVA, Mayfield and Gloversville Elementary School Districts! We were blown away this year, as this is a bit of a milestone year for this Coat Drive. Together with all 8 of our locations, we donated 675 articles of winter clothing including coats, along with snow pants, hats, gloves and scarves.
Happy Halloween from all of us at the Steet Ponte Auto Group! This year was our 9th Annual Halloween Costume Contest!! We had a blast dressing up on Monday getting into the Halloween spirit in Yorkville, Hekrimer, and Johnstown! Each year, we make it a contest for those who have dressed up, giving away 8 cash prizes for different categories.
Thanks to all who participated and made having Halloween on a work day fun for everyone! We can’t wait to see what our Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest brings this year!!
We wanted to thank every one of you who donated to our Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive!! We rotate donations to different local food pantries each year, and this year our donations went to the Utica Food Pantry located in the heart of Utica, NY! We were thrilled to see a stuffed SUV of donations, and we were able to give many local families a great Thanksgiving this year.
