Introducing the 2024 Toyota Tacoma in Yorkville
The Toyota Tacoma has been popular in Yorkville for some time, and people interested in this truck will be happy to hear that it's getting refreshed for the 2024 model year. Toyota is now on its fourth generation of Tacoma models. We're eager to offer this updated truck in our new inventory.
Design Attributes
The Tacoma design team utilized Toyota's TNGA-F global truck platform when building this new pickup truck. This platform is the same one used in the all-new Tundra and Sequoia, two other hard-working, durable models. The frame of the new truck consists of high-strength steel and aluminum. A combination of features results in increased rigidity, extra durability, and a relatively light upper body. Plus, the roof has integrated attachment holes. You can easily add roof rails to any new Tacoma. A roof channel sealer ensures things are watertight as you make your way around Clinton, NY.
Off-Road Attributes
Some new Tacoma models now come with multi-link rear suspensions. This kind of suspension allows the truck to flex more, and it can come in handy when dealing with tough conditions around Herkimer, NY. The TRD Sport features red TRD sport-tuned shocks, the TRD Off-Road has monotube Bilstein remote reservoir shocks, and the TRD Pro boasts FOX three-way adjustable internal bypass shocks with remote reservoirs. All these special shocks contribute to the driving experience, especially when the trails around Rome are rough.
In addition, the truck now benefits from four-wheel disc brakes, and select models have even larger front brake packages. Additional enhancements you can consider when customizing your Toyota truck include an electronic parking brake and electric power steering.
Cargo Hauling Enhancements
In 2005, the Toyota Tacoma underwent a significant transformation, growing considerably. In 2016, Toyota released another generation, and this Tacoma model was slightly bigger than its predecessor. For the 2024 model year, the truck is getting modified again. It has a seven-percent increase in bed volume so that drivers can more easily load it with gear. For convenience, the aluminum tailgate can come with a power open and close function with jam protection.
Performance Highlights
One of the most exciting changes to the Tacoma is that it's now available with an i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain. This efficient powertrain will be able to do more than any other Tacoma engine in history. It is available in select models, and it consists of a 48-horsepower electric motor and a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine. The result is an incredible 465 pound-feet of torque and 326 horsepower.
The other option is to get the 2.4-liter turbocharged engine on its own. This engine can make up to 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a new eight-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence. However, there is the opportunity to get a Tacoma with a manual transmission. It's a six-speed intelligent manual transmission with anti-stall technology and automatic rev-matching, and it should be a lot of fun to use around Whitesboro.
