The Steet Ponte Auto Group team traded in the showroom floors for the ski slopes on Sunday, March 1st, as employees from across all of our dealerships gathered for our 6th Annual Company Ski & Snowboard Trip at beautiful Gore Mountain in North Creek, NY. This annual tradition has become a favorite event for our team, giving everyone the chance to step away from the busy winter sales season and enjoy a day outdoors together. Employees spent the day skiing and snowboarding across the mountain, taking in the incredible views and enjoying some of the best conditions of the season. After a winter filled with epic snowfall, the trails at Gore Mountain were in fantastic shape. Combined with the spring-like weather and sunshine, it made for a perfect day on the mountain. Whether team members were seasoned skiers or just getting comfortable on the slopes, everyone had a great time enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful Adirondack scenery. Midday, the group gathered for lunch at The Tannery Restaurant, where everyone warmed up, shared stories from the slopes, and enjoyed a relaxing break before heading back out for more skiing in the afternoon. Events like our annual ski trip are a great reminder of how special the Steet Ponte Auto Group team truly is. We’re proud to create opportunities for our employees from all eight stores to connect, build friendships, and make memories outside of work. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this year and helped make the day so much fun. Steet Toyota was proud to host our 2nd Annual Paws for a Cause event, and this year’s gathering was bigger, better, and even more heartwarming than the first. Partnering once again with the incredible team at Freedom Guide Dogs, the event brought our community together to support an organization dedicated to changing lives. For decades, Freedom Guide Dogs has provided highly trained guide dogs to individuals who are blind or visually impaired and to veterans in need of mobility assistance. Their work empowers people with independence, confidence, and companionship, something we were honored to help celebrate and support. A Longstanding Connection with Toyota Over the past three decades, Freedom Guide Dogs has purchased countless Toyota Sienna vans to help transport their puppies and working dogs safely and comfortably. The spacious interior, reliability, and versatility of the Sienna make it an ideal vehicle for transporting training groups, equipment, and of course the stars of the show—the future guide dogs themselves. It’s a partnership built on trust, reliability, and a shared commitment to helping people live fuller, more independent lives. Meet the Future Guide Dogs This year’s event featured 10 adorable Labrador Retriever puppies who are currently training to become future guide dogs. Guests also had the opportunity to meet their proud father, Hutch, along with Seymour, an experienced guide dog who demonstrated the incredible skills these dogs learn throughout their training. Seeing these puppies up close was a highlight for everyone who attended, and a powerful reminder of the dedication and training that goes into preparing guide dogs for their life-changing roles. An Interactive Experience for Attendees One of the most impactful parts of the day was an interactive obstacle course hosted by Freedom Guide Dogs. Participants were invited to wear blindfolds and navigate the course with Seymour, experiencing firsthand the trust and teamwork required between a guide dog and their handler. It was an eye-opening experience that helped attendees better understand the importance of guide dogs and the remarkable work organizations like Freedom Guide Dogs perform every day. Steet Toyota is excited to host our 2nd Annual Paws for a Cause Event in partnership with Freedom Guide Dogs, and we can’t wait to welcome the community back for an afternoon filled with purpose—and plenty of puppy cuddles! Freedom Guide Dogs is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to raising, training, and placing guide dogs with individuals who are blind or visually impaired, as well as Veterans, helping them gain greater independence and confidence in their daily lives. Over the years, the organization has purchased countless Toyota Sienna vans, which play a vital role in safely transporting dogs and supporting their training programs. As part of our continued sponsorship with the Utica Comets, we’re proud to offer two “Kids Night Out” games each season—special nights dedicated to our employees and their families. After a great first event back in November, we were excited to host our second Family Night on January 25th, when the Comets took on the Syracuse Crunch —and it did not disappoint. These nights are all about creating memorable experiences for our Auto Group families. Employees and their kids enjoyed tickets to the game, the unforgettable thrill of participating in the High Five Tunnel as players were announced onto the ice, and for a few lucky kids, an exciting ride on the Zamboni. From puck drop to the final buzzer, the arena was filled with smiles, cheers, and plenty of Comets pride. We’re so grateful to be able to provide opportunities like this for our team and their families. Nights like these remind us that our Auto Group is more than just where we work—it’s a community. The Steet Ponte Auto Group is proud to share the successful conclusion of our 18th Annual Adopt-A-Family Holiday Gift Drive, and once again, our community truly showed up in an incredible way. This year, we collected gifts for families across Oneida and Herkimer Counties through our longtime partner, The Neighborhood Center. This outstanding nonprofit organization operates out of the North Utica Community Center and plays a vital role in supporting families in need—especially during the holiday season, when the demand for assistance is at its highest. Thanks to the generosity of our customers, employees, and community members, we collected a total of 619 gifts, with 470 gifts donated directly to The Neighborhood Center to support local families. On delivery day, our team had the opportunity to tour their Gift Donation area, and the experience was nothing short of humbling. The space was filled with thousands of gifts, thoughtfully organized to ensure families receive what they need. One area contained gifts that were fully sorted, bagged, and ready to be distributed within the next 24 hours. Another section was dedicated to gifts designated for families scheduled to come in the following days. There were also tables filled with gifts available for families who were unable to sign up ahead of time—allowing parents to “shop” for their children and ensure no one was left without something special for the holidays. Seeing the care, organization, and compassion behind this operation was truly heartwarming. It was a powerful reminder of the impact that comes from a community working together to support one another. We are beyond grateful to The Neighborhood Center for the incredible work they do, and to everyone who helped make this year’s Adopt-A-Family Gift Drive such a success—whether you donated a gift, shared our posts, or helped spread the word. Return the Gift Unwrapped Bring the unwrapped gift back to the tree, making sure the tag stays attached so it reaches the right child. 5. With the collective efforts of all eight stores, we reached an amazing total of 4,000 donated food items benefiting Feed Our Vets of Central New York, Fulton County Veterans, and the Vet to Vet Program. We want to extend our sincerest thanks to each person who donated food or helped spread the word online. Your support ensures that local Veterans and their families receive the help they need this holiday season. The holiday season has officially arrived, and the Steet Ponte Auto Group is excited to once again take part in the Shriners Annual FEZtival of Trees — held at the Masonic Home Auditorium from November 22nd through November 28th! This year, our theme is “Driving into the Holidays,” and we had such a fun time setting up our festive display with some of our team before the event kicked off. Our tree is decorated with a cheerful automotive twist — and it’s surrounded by some incredible gifts, including TWO battery-powered ride-on vehicles: a Chevy Colorado and a Ford Bronco! 🎄 Here’s how it works: The event is FREE to attend, and raffle tickets are just $5 each. You can use your tickets to enter to win any of the themed Christmas trees on display — including ours! Each winner gets to take home the entire decorated tree and all of the gifts underneath it, plus there are plenty of additional raffle baskets to win throughout the event. The fall festivities were in full swing at Steet Toyota of Yorkville for our 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat, and we’re thrilled to share that it was another HUGE success! From the moment doors opened, we had a line wrapped around the building — a clear sign that our community was ready for a fun, safe, and festive Halloween celebration. We were lucky enough to enjoy perfect weather, with the rain holding off for the entirety of the event, making it an ideal day for trick-or-treating and family fun. This year, we had some exciting new additions to the event: The REAL Ghostbusters ECTO-1 vehicle, a huge hit with kids and adults alike Delicious food from Scott’s Tot’s Food Truck Steet Toyota treat bag giveaways Pumpkin giveaways A visit from the New Hartford Fire Department, complete with one of their trucks for the kids to see up close Not just candy, but also little toys and prizes, so every attendee had something to enjoy Our team loved seeing families and kids exploring the decorated trunks, enjoying the treats, and celebrating the season together. The Steet Ponte Auto Group is thrilled to share the incredible success of our 8th Annual Coats for Kids Coat Drive — and this year was truly one for the record books! Thanks to the amazing generosity of our customers, employees, and community members, we collected an astounding 1,425 items of winter outerwear! That includes: 🧥 444 winter coats 🧤 819 hats and gloves 🧣 12 scarves ❄️ 7 snow suits 👢 2 pairs of boots When we first started this initiative eight years ago, our entire group collected around 250 total items between all eight stores. To see that number multiply by seven is nothing short of incredible! This year, we donated to Utica, Rome, Herkimer, CVA, Frankfort, Mayfield and Gloversville Elementary Schools! The team at Steet Toyota of Yorkville is proud to support the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI) at their Annual Dark Dining Event! This inspiring event raises funds for CABVI, a nonprofit organization whose mission is: "To empower individuals of all ages who are blind or visually impaired to live full and independent lives by providing innovative programs, services, and support." This year, Steet Toyota contributed a Premium Car Care Package, including: Interior and exterior reconditioning ($300 value) Full synthetic oil change and tire rotation A Toyota hat and sweatshirt In addition, we donated funds to help purchase and raffle off an Oculus VR headset, providing attendees another chance to win a fun, high-tech prize while supporting this important cause. The Dark Dining Event, held at the Delta Marriott in Utica, is not only a fundraiser but also an educational experience. Guests enjoy a silent auction, raffles, and fun activities throughout the night, and have the unique opportunity to experience what it’s like to dine in total darkness. By wearing blindfolds or special glasses provided by CABVI representatives, attendees gain a glimpse into the challenges faced by those living with vision impairments — a truly eye-opening (and heart-opening) experience. Steet Toyota is honored to support such a meaningful organization that provides empowerment, independence, and opportunity for people who are blind or visually impaired in our community.
