This past weekend, our Auto Group team came together for an unforgettable day on the slopes at Gore Mountain for our 5th Annual Ski Trip! This annual tradition has become a highly anticipated event, giving employees the chance to embrace the winter season, connect with coworkers, and enjoy a well-deserved day of fun and adventure. From seasoned skiers to first-timers, everyone had a blast exploring the mountain’s diverse trails, soaking in the breathtaking views, and experiencing the thrill of the downhill runs. The crisp mountain air and fresh powder made for perfect skiing and snowboarding conditions, ensuring a fantastic experience for all. To keep everyone fueled for the day, we provided a complimentary lunch at the Tannery Bar and Restaurant, where employees got to warm up, enjoy a delicious meal, and share stories from the slopes. It was the perfect opportunity to relax, recharge, and bond with colleagues in a casual and scenic setting. This event continues to be a wonderful way to bring our Auto Group team together outside of the workplace, strengthening our connections and building lasting memories. Whether carving through fresh powder or simply enjoying the mountain atmosphere, everyone left with smiles on their faces and excitement for next year’s trip. On Saturday, February 22nd, Steet Toyota of Yorkville welcomed a big crowd for a truly special event with Freedom Guide Dogs, a nonprofit organization dedicated to training guide dogs for individuals who are blind, disabled, or Veterans. Visitors had the unique opportunity to meet the organization’s newest litter of puppies—future guide dogs in training—while enjoying an afternoon filled with smiles, snuggles, and community spirit! Adding to the excitement, we were honored to host Danelle Umstead, a Toyota-sponsored U.S. Paralympic Women’s Alpine Ski Racer and three-time Paralympic Bronze Medalist. Danelle, who is visually impaired, relies on her guide dog, Otto—currently being trained by Freedom Guide Dogs locally in Utica, NY. She graciously spent the afternoon meeting fans, signing autographs, and taking photos, making this event even more unforgettable. Of course, what’s an event without some fun giveaways? Toyota provided awesome prizes, including stuffed dogs, blankets, hand warmers, coolers, sunglasses, and even some special treats for fellow skiers! Guests also enjoyed cookies, popcorn, and refreshments while spending quality time with Danelle, Otto, and the adorable puppies. It was an afternoon filled with warmth, inspiration, and community connection. Seeing so many people come out to support a wonderful cause while enjoying time with these future guide dogs was truly heartwarming. Thank you to everyone who joined us for an amazing event! At Steet Toyota of Yorkville, community involvement is a key part of our mission. On August 15th, we were proud to sponsor and participate in the 24th Annual Lupus Charity Golf Classic, hosted at the Shenandoah Golf Club at Turning Stone Resort Casino. This important event supports the Lupus & Allied Diseases Association, raising awareness and funds for those affected by lupus and related diseases. Toyota Yorkville's Team on the Course Our Steet Toyota of Yorkville team was well-represented at the event, with John Dunn (F&I Manager), Greg Wrate (General Manager), Jason Coleman, and Jerry Reginelli (Sales & Leasing Consultants) stepping up to participate. Sunday, 12 February, 2023 We’d like to extend a huge congratulations to our Sales Manager, Brian Mathias, on his recent graduation from the National Auto Dealers Association Dealer Academy! The Dealer Academy is a rigorous, year-long course for employees within a car dealership. The employee must apply to the program, and be sponsored by the dealer principal to be accepted. This is the 44th year the program has graduated a program, and the 473rd class that has graduated! The academy headquarters is located in Tysons Corner, VA, but since the pandemic, the course is now offered online as well. For an entire year, Brian undertook 4 hour classes, 2 days a week with many long hours of homework assignments, discussion boards, and group projects. He said he thoroughly enjoyed the process, and getting a better understanding of the departments that he doesn’t normally work in as the course goes through the inner-workings of a dealership, with each unit covering a different department of the store. He had a great group of men he worked with on projects throughout the year, that he looks forward to staying in contact with as this has provided a great networking opportunity for him! We are so proud of his accomplishments and look forward to seeing what ideas and strategies he is able to implement within Steet Toyota of Yorkville!

When we first purchased the former Hoff Toyota, almost all of the employees stayed on with us for many years, Greg included! If you’ve ever been inside our store, you know that Greg runs a tight ship to keep this store running at its’ prime in all departments to always exceed your expectations! Whether its joining the team to help brush snow off the cars after a storm or holding a Monday morning meeting, Greg has been an integral part of Steet Toyota’s success all of these years! Greg lives locally in New Hartford with his wife where they raised their children. In his spare time, you'll find Greg on the golf course or at a Utica Comets Hockey game! His favorite Toyota is the classic Toyota Celica as well as the Toyota Highlander. Help us give Greg a great 30th year celebration this year!!

Saturday, 15 June, 2019 Have you seen our latest commercial with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital at the Mohawk Valley Health System? We proudly support CMN and all of their endeavors to make our local hospital a great place for maternity, women’s, and children’s services. The CMN has been in our area since the late 80’s, and we have continually supported them year after year. From premature babies, to speech therapy, and emergency services, the CMN helps so many local children and families in need! We have seen great improvements including two children friendly patient rooms in Urgent Care, Bili Blankets for babies who have jaundice, special incubators for transporting babies to larger hospitals, and most recently, a Toyota Sienna van donated to the EMS program! We are excited to see what our donation for this year will have in store for the hospital and CMN.
