On Saturday, February 22nd, Steet Toyota of Yorkville welcomed a big crowd for a truly special event with Freedom Guide Dogs, a nonprofit organization dedicated to training guide dogs for individuals who are blind, disabled, or Veterans. Visitors had the unique opportunity to meet the organization’s newest litter of puppies—future guide dogs in training—while enjoying an afternoon filled with smiles, snuggles, and community spirit! Adding to the excitement, we were honored to host Danelle Umstead, a Toyota-sponsored U.S. Paralympic Women’s Alpine Ski Racer and three-time Paralympic Bronze Medalist. Danelle, who is visually impaired, relies on her guide dog, Otto—currently being trained by Freedom Guide Dogs locally in Utica, NY. She graciously spent the afternoon meeting fans, signing autographs, and taking photos, making this event even more unforgettable. Of course, what’s an event without some fun giveaways? Toyota provided awesome prizes, including stuffed dogs, blankets, hand warmers, coolers, sunglasses, and even some special treats for fellow skiers! Guests also enjoyed cookies, popcorn, and refreshments while spending quality time with Danelle, Otto, and the adorable puppies. It was an afternoon filled with warmth, inspiration, and community connection. Seeing so many people come out to support a wonderful cause while enjoying time with these future guide dogs was truly heartwarming. Thank you to everyone who joined us for an amazing event! Wednesday, 02 August, 2023 We sponsored the amazing Fire Truck Spectacular for the 10th year in a row this year! The event is always a huge success, drawing thousands of local residents to the New Hartford Shopping Center. There, you can find fire trucks and rescue vehicles from area Fire Departments such as New Hartford, Whitesboro, Utica, Floyd, Sylvan Beach, and New York Mills, NY. This is a free event, held conveniently in the parking lot of the Shopping Center directly in front of Nicky Doodles Ice Cream! The event is geared towards kids and families to educate on fire prevention and safety, with a smokehouse, contest with firemen to see who can gear up the fastest, police vehicles and a rescue helicopter that lands at the end of the show. Our personal favorite? The sirens that all of the trucks let off at the very end as they depart!

Wednesday, 22 December, 2021 It’s almost that time of the year!! Our Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest is being held on the day of our Holiday Lunch Party on Thursday, December 23rd. We’re so excited to see what kind of turnout we have this year! Winners from the following categories will be chosen by none other than Joe Steet Sr. and Steve Ponte Sr. for: Funniest, Best DIY, Most Holiday Spirit, Most Unique, Best Pop Culture, Joe’s Favorite, Steve’s Favorite, Ugliest Ugly Sweater. Tuesday, 02 February, 2021 And we’re BACK with our monthly staff introductions at Steet Toyota and we’ve got an extra special one this month as it marks our General Manager, Greg Wrate’s 30th YEAR AT THIS STORE!!! When we first purchased the former Hoff Toyota, almost all of the employees stayed on with us for many years, Greg included! If you’ve ever been inside our store, you know that Greg runs a tight ship to keep this store running at its’ prime in all departments to always exceed your expectations! Whether its joining the team to help brush snow off the cars after a storm or holding a Monday morning meeting, Greg has been an integral part of Steet Toyota’s success all of these years! Greg lives locally in New Hartford with his wife where they raised their children. In his spare time, you'll find Greg on the golf course or at a Utica Comets Hockey game! Friday, 20 March, 2020 February, 2020 marked our 25th ANNIVERSARY!! In the photos below, Joe Steet Sr. & Steve Ponte Sr., along with their wives who have helped immensely along the way, accepted the 25 Year Award presented by Toyota's General Manager, Briana Nelson in Naples, Florida for Toyota's annual Winter Tri-Dealer's Association Advertising Meeting! But first, we wanted to thank everyone who has gotten us to where we are today! We wouldn’t have been able to be this successful without the support of our customers, new and old, and even more amazing staff over the years! We’re proud to say that we have many “original” staff members that are still with us from the day we purchased this business, and have retired many more from all departments: Office, Service, Parts, and Sales: Lynn, Linda, Ralph, Dewey, Pete, Doug, Don, we miss you all! We are a true family business in every sense of the word. The Steet kids grew up here, having been 3 and 6 when the store was purchased, and their favorite memories were going to visit their dad at work, type on the typewriters (yes, we used typewriters) and shred papers with the girls in the office. Many have said it, and we’re happy we’re not the only ones who have felt it, but Steet Toyota has a home-y feel to it. Everyone feels like family, and we strive every day to live up to our motto and make every transaction as easy and enjoyable as possible. Thursday, 05 December, 2019 As our first ever Coats for Kids Coat Drive comes to an end, we would like to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who took the time and money to donate a coat for our local children in need. As a family owned and operated business, we know the importance of helping our community, and of course families in need. We raised donations for the Utica, NY and Rome, NY Pre-K to 6th grade School Districts. We have been blown away by the generosity of our customers, staff members, family, friends, and anyone who decided to brave walking into a car dealership to donate a coat!! If you haven't donated yet, there is STILL TIME! We are open until 8pm tonight, coats will be donated starting at 10am tomorrow, Friday, December 6th. Saturday, 15 June, 2019 Have you seen our latest commercial with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital at the Mohawk Valley Health System? We proudly support CMN and all of their endeavors to make our local hospital a great place for maternity, women’s, and children’s services. The CMN has been in our area since the late 80’s, and we have continually supported them year after year. From premature babies, to speech therapy, and emergency services, the CMN helps so many local children and families in need! We have seen great improvements including two children friendly patient rooms in Urgent Care, Bili Blankets for babies who have jaundice, special incubators for transporting babies to larger hospitals, and most recently, a Toyota Sienna van donated to the EMS program! We are excited to see what our donation for this year will have in store for the hospital and CMN.
