The Boilermaker Road Race, taking place this year on Sunday, July 13th, 2025, is one of the most iconic and beloved 15K road races in the country, and a signature event for the Mohawk Valley. At Steet Toyota of Yorkville, we’re proud to drive community growth both on and off the road, and that’s why we’re thrilled to announce our sponsorship of the Mohawk Valley NFL Flag Football League, a rapidly growing youth sports organization serving families throughout Utica, Yorkville, and the greater Mohawk Valley.
As part of Toyota’s national partnership with NFL Flag, we’re excited to support this incredible local program that fosters teamwork, athleticism, and leadership for kids aged 5 to 18. The league is co-ed, family-focused, and dedicated to creating a safe, competitive, and fun environment for young athletes across Oneida County and beyond.
A Growing League with Big Community Impact
The 2025 season has seen tremendous growth, with enrollment increasing from 256 players last year to 429 this season! That’s nearly a 70% jump in participation, and with friends and family in attendance, the league now sees 1,200 to 1,400 people coming through on any given Sunday.
Even more exciting is the increase in female participation, this year, nearly 15% of the players are girls, up significantly from just 4% last season. The league’s inclusive atmosphere, paired with its growing popularity, is a testament to the value it brings to families across the Mohawk Valley.

Representing our team, Joe Steet Jr., Carly Steet Mathias, and Steve Ponte Jr. had the honor of presenting the check to Mary Bogdan, CEO, and Joanne Moskal, CIO, of Hospice & Palliative Care. This donation helps further the organization’s mission of serving patients of all ages from newborns to individuals over 100 years old, throughout Oneida, Herkimer, and Madison counties.
Touring the Siegenthaler Center: A Home Away From Home
During our visit, we were given a tour of the Siegenthaler Center, a unique four-bed end-of-life residence that adjoins the main Hospice building on Middle Settlement Road in New Hartford. Opened in February 2005, the Siegenthaler Center offers a home-like environment where patients and their families receive expert medical care and emotional support during life’s most delicate moments. It was a moving experience to witness firsthand the love, dignity, and comfort that Hospice brings to those in their care.
